The 8 Year Project

In 2017, I began an ongoing creative journey–one that combines art, organization, and personal reflection into a meaningful practice: bullet journaling. What started as a simple way to track goals and stay organized has evolved into a scrapbook of my life, filled with passion projects and random inspirations.

Each month, I choose a theme that reflects seasonal moods to hyper-fixations. This theme becomes the foundation for every spread, guiding everything from layouts to colors to illustrations. It’s more than just a planner; it’s a physical documentary of my life. By adding tiny artifacts I collect throughout my days, such as tickets, receipts, napkins from restaurants, and pictures, I create a tactile visual documentation of my life that I can revisit forever.

What you will find here is a collection of my ongoing 8-year (and counting) project. It’s a piece of my personal history–capturing where I’ve been and what I’ve felt. It’s a visual representation of how I’ve grown creatively over time, showing how my approach to art, design, and writing has evolved with each passing year.

This month’s theme was all about my latest hyperfixation: Harry Potter.

Here’s a glimpse into one of the many time-lapses I filmed while bringing this month to life. Even though my journal is, at its core, a way of staying organized, it always has space for creativity. This specific layout here features the four Hogwarts houses hidden behind the Sorting Hat, as if you’re being sorted yourself.
